Child Led Organization Promoting Child Rights(CLOPCR)
The project was designed for 3 years (January 2007-September 2009) to be implemented in two working areas of UDDIPAN namely Daudkandi of Comilla district and Banskhali of Chittagong district on pilot basis. Through a survey children identified that about 207 boys and 243 girls were involved with different professions. Out of this 450 children were engaged as child labour. The major professions of child laborers were: Mill worker, Tea stall, furniture, Grossary, Saloon, Sea fishing, welding, scrap collector, fire wood collection from hills, domestic worker and agriculture.
Objectives:
1. Enhancing children’s capabilities to organize themselves and to engage in advocacy activities.
2. Awareness raising to influence authorities, civil society, media, political parties and private sector to engage in reducing hazardous labour and improve the living conditions of children
3 Building Methods for organising children and for ensuring the participation of children with focus to child labourers in activities concerning their own lives.
