Kafe Mukti :-

Background and rationale:
Human trafficking is an emerging problem in Bangladesh. Most of traffic victims are belong to poorest of poor segment and are women and children. It is estimated that every year in Bangladesh 15000 women and children are being smuggled out. Most of the legal or illegal migrants are adapting the profession of domestic workers and become victims of sexual abuse and exploitation. There they have to lead sub human lives. Moreover the trafficked people suffer from different psychosocial problems. They should be revived and contributing to the national development process. So, in the reviving process they need to be empowered economically. Mukti restaurant so far have been successful in reducing their stigmatization and ensuring well rehabilitation.

Objectives:
1) To improve livelihood option of the trafficked girls and women.
2) To increase awareness on trafficked survivors in the society.

Activities:
• Opening and running Kafe Mukti
• Advertising through different media
• Awareness meeting with GO, NGO and concerned people on rehabilitating the trafficked survivors.
• Motivation meeting with employers to provide job for trafficked survivors
• Provide training to sales assistants on marketing procedure
• Provide training on good salesmanship
• Provide training on customer dealing
• Provide training on financial management including cash management
